Thanks to ACHIEVE’s advocacy, both hepatitis B and C were included in the mandate of the European Parliament’s special committee on cancer, referenced as WHO identified key preventable risk factors for cancer. 

The special committee on cancer seeks to “identify measures to increase vaccination and treatment for  infections”.  The special committee will be comprised of 33 Members. It will work for 12 months, with a possibility for extention.
